This class is an interactive classroom focused on friendship building.  Activities and learning  will be based on students’ interest with focus on relationship building among the students.

This class focuses on friendship building through team games and activities. Students have opportunity to development social skills through this fun interactive class.

Business Math

This course will equip students with the tools they’ll need to become good stewards of the financial resources God has given them. Students will learn to prepare a budget, balance a checkbook, use credit responsibly, and calculate a tithe. This is a great course for personal finance as well as any student interested in the business field or who wishes to be an entrepreneur. Required Text: Landmark’s Freedom Baptist Math M160, Business Math, Grade 12

Speech and Logic

This is a year long course focused on logically reasoning and using those skills to debate and present. Student will have classroom debates and present oral reports. For high school students, this course can count toward the required  oral communication credit. The class may also be taken as an elective.

Keyboarding

Students complete assigned Keyboarding activities in the Grace Academy Computer Lab. This is a goal based class. Student may enroll in this class during any on-campus class period. Class can also be taken as an online class

 

Introduction to Coding Online

(11th – 12th grade)

This course takes a wide lens on computer science by laying a foundation of problem-solving skills and then covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. Students will build their own websites, apps, games, and program physical computing devices. Students will get an understanding of what it means to code and these introductory skills will empower them to start using coding on their own. The class will meet in an online classroom on Wednesday from 3:30 -4:30 each week and will have additional work presented in an online format. The course can be used as a technology elective, 4th-year math credit, or 3rd-year science credit.

Online: Wednesday 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Technology

Students learn applications through project-based learning in the computer lab. Student may enroll in the class during any on-campus class period. Student may also take this class online with weekly online meetings.
