This Algebra 2 course provides a student with 1.5 credits: 1 for Algebra II & 1/2 for Geometry

Geometry

This is a hybrid class using Khan Academy Geometry as as the basis for the study of Geometry.  Students will meet twice week to address topics from the coursework of Khan Academy as well as troubleshoot any area of difficulty each student is having with the materials  based on homework scores and class participation. Khan Academy account required.

Business Math (Grades 11 & 12)

This course will equip students with the tools they’ll need to become good stewards of the financial resource God has given them. Student will learn to prepare a budget, balance a checkbook, use credit responsibly, and calculate a tithe. This is a great course for any student interested in the business field or who wishes to be an entrepreneur.

Advanced Math I

Saxon Advanced Math Second Edition and DIVE CD or download required. Students should bring the test packet that comes with the curriculum to Grace Academy for class use. Class Covers Lessons 1-90.  

This Advanced Math 1 gives a student 1.5 credits: 1 for Advanced Algebra & 1/2 for Geometry.

Introduction to Coding – Online

(11th – 12th grade)

This course takes a wide lens on computer science by laying a foundation of problem-solving skills and then covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. Students will build their own websites, apps, games, and program physical computing devices. Students will get an understanding of what it means to code and these introductory skills will empower them to start using coding on their own. The class will meet in an online classroom on Wednesday from 3:30 -4:30 each week and will have additional work presented in an online format. The course can be used as a technology elective, 4th-year math credit, or 3rd-year science credit. Online Wednesdays 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
